Application for a insurance underwriter

I am writing in order to apply for the position of insurance underwriter. With my previous work experience and qualifications, I hope that you will consider me for the role.

After graduating with a degree in business studies I started work at an insurance company. I worked for a year as an administrator, learning about how the insurance business works and getting experience of office duties. This improved my IT and communication skills and I also realised that I had a good ability to reach required deadlines without reducing the quality of my work. I was then promoted to work as an insurance underwriter, a role that I am currently doing and have been working in for two years. It is motivating and interesting and I find the negotiation to be a lot of fun. I also enjoy the numerical side and the amount of communication suits my outgoing personality. I do feel, however, that it is time for me to move to new company so that I can challenge myself and learn about how a different insurance company works. This is why I am hoping that you will consider my application or your vacant role.
